How to Turn Photos into One PDF

Add your images and drag them into page order. JPG, JPEG and PNG files can be uploaded together. Keep the orientation consistent, and rotate any landscape capture before adding it, which is quicker than correcting it in the finished PDF.

Once the PDF is built, page through the whole document. Look for three things: duplicated pages, missing pages and images that ended up upside down. Photographing the same page twice is a very common mistake in multi-page paperwork.

Place the document on a flat surface, hold the camera parallel to the page and light it from the front rather than the side so you do not cast a shadow. Keep all four corners in frame; a clipped corner is enough for many organisations to reject a submission.

If the edges come out skewed, use a document scanning step instead of converting the raw photo: it corrects the perspective and cleans the page so it looks like it came from a flatbed scanner. That difference matters most for formal applications.

Gallery ordering does not always match capture order, and file names like IMG_2481 tell you nothing. Renaming the images in page order before uploading removes the need to rearrange anything afterwards.

For double-sided documents, remember to include both sides as separate pages. A missing reverse side on an ID card or a licence is one of the most frequent causes of an incomplete submission.

Photos from modern phones are large, and a ten-page set of paperwork can easily exceed an upload limit. When that happens, build the PDF first and compress it afterwards.

After compressing, zoom into small type, signatures and stamps to confirm they are still legible. If the document is plain text, capturing it in your phone's scan mode in grayscale produces a cleaner and smaller result than compressing a full-colour photo later.
